Dry needling is a type of physical therapy that uses thin needles to stimulate trigger points in the muscles. This helps to release tension and relieve pain. Dry needling can be used to treat a variety of conditions, including headaches, migraines, TMJ disorders, back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and more.

Do you need a doctor's referral?

You do not need a doctor’s referral. 

What can you expect?

Superficial insertion of dry needles in to the muscle to create a functional change. It is a  painless procedure most times, however there may be a dull discomfort due to muscle stimulation.

Dry needling can be claimed as it is performed by Allied Health practitioners. It can be claim on insurance, workers’ compensation and EPC referral .
